SYNOPSIS
Summer School Rocks! Is an energetic and heartwarming 90-minute rock musical in two acts that takes you inside Emerald City Prep School. We meet a group of students as spring quarter ends who are having a hard time handling the pressure of the ”Quality, Quiet, and Quiescent” education they are receiving. As they look forward to their Advanced Placement Summer School course, the view is bleak. When Riza discovers a used record with a cover featuring a rock star who has a striking resemblance to their summer school teacher, Rockwell, their mission becomes clear. Will they be able to convince Rockwell to teach them how to rock before sneaky Janitor Smith or suspicious Vice Principal Qwik sniff out their scheme?
Summer School Rocks! features a strong ensemble of actors who play the diverse students of Emerald City Prep, supported by quirky teachers and relatable parent characters. This exciting rock musical is sure to draw out the best in actors of all experience levels. It’s a rock musical with music that really rocks! The songs are in great keys for young actors, catchy, and easy to choreograph.

SYNOPSIS
Many, many years after the age of fairy tales, in a small Russian town thirsty for magic, an ordinary girl named Vasilisa lives an ordinary life with her father, stepmother, and stepsisters. Her stepsisters tease her and regale her with stories of the witch, Baba Yaga, who also happens to be their grandmother. When circumstances force Vasilisa to visit Baba Yaga and beg for money, Vasilisa is terrified – both of her Baba and of the other old folks at the Taiga Forest Retirement Community. Fortunately, Vasilisa has recently inherited an enchanted doll named Matryoshka who will guide and protect her as she discovers her extraordinary powers along the way. Elements of contemporary as well as historical Russia mesh and clash as these vibrant characters discover their interdependence.
Vasilisa the Ordinary is a two-act musical featuring a lush, orchestral accompaniment with a Slavic flavor and pop sensibility. In addition to the powerful ensemble numbers, the score includes several dynamic solo numbers, duets, incidental music, and a dedicated dance number. Audiences will laugh, might cry, and will ultimately be uplifted by this magical, yet very human, story of growth and redemption.
